Concealed closers to be showcased at 100 percent design

At this year’s 100% Design show, door closer experts Astra Door Controls will be showcasing its 4000 Series concealed door closers: the most unobtrusive, effective design solution for closing almost any door smoothly, effectively and reliably, even fire doors. The size 3 closer in the 4000 series is now fully CE Marked, making it the natural choice for designers looking to keep doorways safe yet beautiful.

4000 series closers from Astra are the closers of choice for doors in high-traffic, security sensitive, and prestige settings. Mounted in the door jamb, these door closers are completely invisible when the door is closed and very unobtrusive when open since there are none of the unsightly mechanisms or jutting arms associated with old fashioned overhead door closers: this is a particularly important consideration in residential settings.

Small in size yet powerful in operation, the 4000 Series closers are all approved to BS EN 1154 with the size 3 CE marked. This means they can be specified with complete peace-of-mind on FD30 and FD60 fire doors since they were designed specifically for doors that require a continuous, controlled action into the latch. This gives architects and designers the opportunity to create sleek, minimalist doors that are fully compliant with standards, fire regulations and accessibility requirements.
